Out of the mouths of babes....
So my oldest Grandson, Grant has encountered his first case of strep throat.  Lindsey is a pediatric nurse practitioner and suspected the strep as she had been seeing lots of it in the clinic so she took Grant into the clinic to swab his throat.  When they returned home I called to see how he was doing.  The conversation went like this....

Nana: How are you Grant?
Grant: Nana, I'm strepped.
Nana: (Thinking he had said he was 'stressed') You are - what's the matter?
Grant: I have a headache in my mouth.

I was so touched by the simplicity of his description of the situation.  But I'm happy to report that a dose or two of antibiotics and he was well on his way to recovery!

Then just a few days later Lindsey and Trent were on their way to church.  While driving through the church parking lot Grant says "Mommy - you can park there."  Mommy:  "We can't park there, that space is reserved for handicapped people."  Grant - "Mommy - I'm handy."

Don't you wish that life really was so simple?  I love being a Nana!
