This summer, it seems was one milestone after another for our family.  Among them is remembering our angel baby Garrett who would have been 5 years old on July 31st . And, rejoicing that out of the heart break has been born the Star Legacy Foundation - created to raise funding to support stillbirth research and education.  I am so proud that the Star Legacy Foundation has now contributed over $26,000 towards this end.

Another milestone moment in our family was the weekend of August 22nd when we all gathered together at Sydney and Abby's home to celebrate Graham's first birthday, Carley's fourth birthday and Sydney's 30th.  While our grandchildren's birthdays will always be special - having my own baby turn thirty takes my breath away.

Speaking of that birthday celebration in Georgia - we had another one of those 'out of the mouths of babes' experience. 

Carley and Grant were given the opportunity to try going to bed on the floor in Carley's room.  The Mom's weren't sure it was going to work and that they would actually settle down and go to sleep.  So a little eaves dropping followed the bedtime ritual.  This was the conversation overheard.....

Carley: I'm really looking forward to playing with Grant tomorrow and doing all kinds of fun things.
Grant: Yeah - and I'm looking forward to........breakfast.
